The proposed IAPP network aims at extending, integrating and consolidating the knowledge in the different research fields of vehicle concept modelling and multi-attribute optimization, with a main focus on the next generation of active vehicles, in which intelligent systems (ABS, ESP, active suspension, active steering...) and innovative materials (Shape Memory Alloys joined with structural materials, lightweight materials, metal foams) are used to improve comfort and safety, while reducing weight and ecological impact.
